Getting to Recife

Recife's Guararapes International Airport is one of only two Northeastern regional hub airports and the 5th most important in Brazil. There are regular flights to Recife from Europe, The USA and South America. The airport is only 3Km away from the Boa Viagem Beach where the school is located. There are three Brazilian airlines which make two or more direct flights per week from Europe and USA (VARIG, VASP and TAP). There are six direct flights from Sao Paulo and two from Rio de Janeiro to Recife every day.

The State's largest and most important airport stands out against the other Brazilian airports due to its privileged location, as it lies within the urban area of Pernambuco's capital city, 9km away from its center. With a length of 3,300 m, Guararapes International Airport has the longest runway in the whole North and Northeast region of Brazil, allowing for the operation of long-haul aircrafts without any restrictions as to cargo and fuel limitations and enabling them to directly reach markets in Europe, and North and South America.
